Spring starts tomorrow, but it will feel like we are kicking off the new season today. High warm into the 70s this afternoon, with a light south wind. We stay dry through Saturday night, and then changes to our weather pattern move in. Showers and thunderstorms are in the forecast earl Sunday morning. Rainfall totals stay under an inch, and the system moves out quickly, leaving cloudy skies behind. The clouds linger through Sunday night.
After Sunday, we stay dry until Thursday. March is typically the wettest month for Mobile, with average rainfall totals over 7 inches. So far this March Mobile has received just over 2.5 inches. With this past winter coming in as the wettest on record, our overall rainfall picture is fine.
