Dry Weather Returns
The strong upper-level low that brought rain our way is finally drifting offshore! It will continue to do so tonight through Monday. High pressure will build in on Tuesday, toting dry weather along with it.
For tonight, skies will be mostly cloudy. We’re holding on to a 20% of showers, mainly north of Highway 264. These showers should taper off into the overnight hours, leaving Eastern North Carolina dry. Tonight’s low: 41.
The surface low that caused problems in the Northeast this weekend will work its way back towards NC, but it will stay off shore. With this system in reverse, the Outer Banks could see a few showers. With high pressure approaching and the low pressure moving through the Atlantic, we could feel northerly winds between 10 and 15 miles per hour, with possible gusts to 20. Pull out the wind breakers! Monday’s High: 63
Winds will continue out of the north into Monday night. With northerly winds between 5 and 10 miles per hour and cloud coverage overnight, lows will be around 45.
Aside from Tuesday, high temps will reach into the mid 60s and lows will hang in the low to mid 40s.
You can put the umbrellas a way for a few days!
